Botox® Cosmetic is a non-surgical injection of a purified protein produced by the clostridium botulinum bacteria that temporarily reduces or eliminates frown lines, forehead creases, crow's feet near the eyes, and specifically, wrinkles that are caused by the muscles that contract during facial expressions such as frowning or squinting. The injected muscles are temporarily immobilized which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften, giving the skin a smoother, more refreshed appearance.

Midtown Neurology, P.C. is pleased to offer our clients this cosmetically enhancing procedure administered by Dr. Mishu. The procedure is virtually painless and only lasts about 15-30 minutes. The effects can last from 3-6 months with repeated injections causing more effect and lasting longer.

Upon your first visit, expect to spend a few more minutes to fill out initial paperwork and to have your picture taken.
Dr. Mishu will then have a consultation with you discussing areas to be injected and expectations. Repeat visits will be briefer with more lasting effects enjoyed!

Our price for Botox® Cosmetic is $12 per unit with men typically requiring more units per area than women. The most common areas of injection with pricing are as follows:

1. Forehead Lines:
   Horizontal facial wrinkles across your forehead are caused by raising the frontalis muscle that lies between the eyebrows and the hair line. Botox® Cosmetic can be used to relax these wrinkles.

2. Glabella/Frown Lines:
   Muscles in the glabella region work to pull eyebrows together when frowning or squinting and are responsible for the vertical furrows in the area between the eyebrows that have the appearance of an "11" or an upside down "Y." Botox® Cosmetic virtually erases the furrows that form in the glabella region.

3. Crow's-Feet/Smile Lines:
   Facial wrinkles on the outside of your eyes are called "crow's-feet" or "smile lines" because they often have an appearance comparable to the structure of a bird's foot and are usually caused by smiling and squinting. 4. Bunny Lines:
   Facial muscles on the sides of your nose can cause horizontal wrinkles across the top of your nose. You can cause these facial wrinkles by lifting up or 'scrunching' your nose. Cosmetic Botox® can relax overactive facial muscles in this region of your face.

5. Lateral Brow Lift:
